Jon Hamm, 'Girls' star have fake chat for real app

A fake talk show is the set for a new video short starring "Mad Men's" Jon Hamm, "Girls" star and scribe Lena Dunham and fellow actor Alex Karpovsky. The actors came together thanks to The New Yorker, which enlisted them to introduce the magazine's new iPhone app.? What comes next: the expected hilarity, awkwardness and challenging pants you'd come to expect from such a video.

This isn't the first time The New Yorker has gone Hollywood to promote a product. Actor Jason Schwartzman in 2010 introduced the magazine's iPad app.
