FOUNTAIN VALLEY ? Fountain Valley Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run crash involving a female motorcyclist and the driver of a Lexus Sedan, suspected to be 75-year-old Douglas Jenan, according to a report in the Orange County Register.
On Wednesday, October 3 at 4:30 p.m., a 29-year-old woman driving a Harley-Davidson Sportster collided with a Lexus RX300, as she headed westbound on Talbert Avenue towards Mount Washington Street. The two vehicles crashed as the Lexus turned left into the direct path of the Sportster.
Upon impact, the woman was thrown from her vehicle onto the sidewalk, suffering a serious injury to her leg. Doctors expect her to recover, says Fountain Valley police Sgt. Kurt Ulrich.
The SUV driver left the crash site without rendering aid to the injured woman, however, he was later found by police and arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. Drugs and alcohol were not found to be a factor in the incident.
Orange County jail records indicate Jenan was held at the Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail, which was not paid.
