Director of Training - ASTD Job Bank

Lead the execution of the learning and talent development process. The Director of Training is the driving force behind the development of all companywide training initiatives from technical training to management leadership and competency development. This individual will assess the organization?s needs, and identify, design, implement, manage and deliver learning and development.

Position Duties and Responsibilities: ? Collaborate with executive level and on-site leaders and others internally to plan and execute learning and development activities in a time-sensitive environment ? Develop and conduct training presentations utilizing varied instructional methods and materials for a wide array of topics: Leadership, service, systems, interview and hiring ? Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, assess methods, processes and techniques, and adapt methods for those struggling to grasp new skills and/or knowledge ? Through the collection of data, surveys and associate and management input, gather and provide senior management feedback on the effectiveness of the training programs on a regular basis ? Make curriculum and training program improvements based on attendee and senior management feedback ? Development of learning aids such as handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and knowledge validation tests ? Determine appropriate blend of traditional learning approaches with web based technologies in order to create and deliver best in class learning programs ? Work closely with management to identify learning opportunities and develop appropriate training content to support company growth initiatives ? Responsible for associate orientation, on-boarding, coaching and mentoring programs ? Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development
