Art or not? Cabbie snaps topless female passengers

"I didn't think I could become an up-and-coming artist at my old age," says taxi driver Hans-J?rgen Watzlawek, 68, whose photos of passengers' breasts have gone on display at a Berlin gallery.

By Carlo Angerer, NBC News

MUNICH, Germany ? A Berlin taxi driver whose pictures of women exposing their breasts in the back of his cab are being displayed at a local art gallery insists that the black-and-white photographs are nice not naughty.

"It's not about eroticism or sex, but about the breast as a female attribute," cab-driver-turned-artist Hans-J?rgen Watzlawek told NBC News.

Known for its hip and cutting edge exhibitions and galleries, the Berlin art scene sees many edgy pieces of art. Nonetheless, in Europe's self-proclaimed art capital one can always find a new twist on modern art.

It all started four years ago on a night shift when a regular customer told Watzlawek?that?she suspected she was pregnant because her breasts had grown.

When he said he didn't believe her, she lifted her shirt and exposed her breasts. The cab driver, an avid amateur photographer who always carries a camera, asked if he could snap a picture. She agreed.

How does the 68-year-old explain this openness??

"The cabin of a taxi has a certain intimacy, it's like in a confessional box," Watzlawek said. "Passengers often share their stories ? especially during journeys at night."

So over the last four years, he took 50 pictures of topless women. They posed for him after he asked a few who showed an interest in his photography, Watzlawek said, who added that he had never photographed their faces.

Read more international stories on NBCNews.com

"The project lives on anonymity; no woman I have asked has ever complained of sexism," he said.

And he denied that some of the women were drunk when he pictured them, as tabloids have suggested.

About half of the passengers he asked to pose agreed to do so after he told them that he hoped to run an exhibition.

"I was surprised myself, but they told me that I seem trustworthy ? maybe you could even call me a lady whisperer," he said.

'A provocation'
Compared to Berlin Art Week, which took place in the city's illustrious galleries earlier this month, Watzlawek's exhibition, which opened on September 20 at the Galeria Casablanca, is a low-key affair although it has attracted considerable attention.

Gallery owner Zoltan Labas said the show, "Flash Berlin 0.1", has been well-received, especially by women, but admits it has been controversial.

"Of course, it's a provocation and it touches the border between art and non-art," he said.

"While the breasts are in the center of the pictures, the backgrounds tell the stories," Labas added. "You see the clothes and posture of the women, or who else is sitting in the cab ? at times it's the boyfriend or husband."

Read more stories from Germany on NBCNews.com

Watzlawek is not alone in his unconventional approach to routine places.

Recently, garbage collectors in Hamburg remade a waste container into a pinhole camera to snap the city's streets. It was a successful public relations stunt that won a silver lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.

Watzlawek, who is retired but returns to the steering wheel for a couple of nights each month, insists that his exhibition was not a public relations stunt.

"I just want to finance my expensive photography hobby which is difficult with my small pension," he said.

So after several decades working nights as a baker and cab driver he seems to have found his calling, although he doesn't think he's destined to become the next Damien Hirst or Andy Warhol.

"I didn't think I could become an up-and-coming artist at my old age," he said.

When a Relationship Comes Between a Friendship : City Connect

What?s the first rule of friendship??Never put a man before your friends.?Boyfriends will come and go, true girlfriends will last forever.?Girls before guys right??I remember my mother telling me as a young girl to never let a boy come in between a friendship.?Making a pact all those years ago that sisterhood is where it?s at and telling your best girl that no matter what happens a boy would never come between the two of you.?You?ve been friends for 10 years and you know that you two will always be there for each other.?Boys come and go you tell each other but this friendship will stand the test of time against any man.

Enter Chris.? Chris is a young hot tradesman.? He?s tall, handsome, smart-ish and apparently funny.? He dresses impeccably (if you like head to toe Armani with little imagination attached to it) and says all the right things at social gatherings when we are all out.? Chris has been dating my friend Sarah for a fair few months now and they are inseparable.? They go to dinners together, the cinema, everything normal a couple do together.? Shes besotted with him, and so should I be seemingly. ?So why do I dislike the man so much?

It?s all Chris this and Chris loves going to the gym at every opportunity.? Maybe Chris should stop taking so many steroids before he bursts out of that t-shirt anymore, it?s like he is auditioning for the Incredible Hulk remake.? Don?t make me angry. You wouldn?t like me when I?m angry.? Ok so he?s got a few guns on him and the ladies like the way he looks, but does he have to mention how many times my weight he can bench press every time we see him?

Sarah is such a bright, confident and independent woman who loves to be the centre of attention, except when Chris is around.? It?s like she hangs off of his every bicep (or should I say two headed muscle).? She has even taking up going to gym sessions with him.? After she once quoted ?only run when being chased? was her motto in life, she is now working out to a 10-step programme.? Somehow every opinion she?s ever had is suddenly moulded into that new found (brain) of his.

Her once over-opinionated tongue, which once didn?t even let a guy look at her in the wrong way before she gave him a lashing, is suddenly now firmly wrapped around his (ahem) nether regions.? She now has no opinions of her own; just a carbon copy of what regurgitates out of Vin Diesel?s forearms.? My nearest and dearest buddy has been swept away by Chris.

What upsets me the most is that they have only been dating a few months and they are already arguing like they are a couple of old drunks.? I try to tell her that she should not be arguing so soon into the relationship, but of course she dismisses me with ?well we don?t argue that much? and ?his ex-girlfriend was a total crack pot and he?s just scared to get hurt again?.? Personally I don?t think that rehearsing your nodding dog impression is being true to yourself.

OK,?so there?s nothing I can do because she?s my best friend and she is in lust for now!? Even if it is with a total haemorrhoid.? Of course when she asks me I tell her that I think he is wonderful, and then discuss with the girls what we really think and put bets on how long it will last.? This may come across as jealousy and it really isn?t (OK maybe a teeny tiny bit).

My best girl suddenly doesn?t have time for me and would rather spend her days with meathead mayhem.? Gone are the wine and X Factor evenings, and the girlie nights out drinking cocktails and singing to Kings of Leon.? They have been?replaced with nights in discussing dumbbells and protein shakes. ?It happens to everyone at some point I guess, I just wish it wasn?t with him?

Gym session anyone?

    Living In The Limelight

    1) What is your roleplay about?
-It's a band roleplay. Why'd we make it? 'cause there just ain't enough band roleplays around this site. Band roleplays offer a unique setting and potential for plenty of fun and interesting interactions, and plus, who doesn't like to live out their dreams of playing in a band of their favourite genre without actually going out and taking the time and effort to actually make it happen in reality?

...okay, I could have phrased that a bit more appealingly.

    2) Why is your idea so much better than the rest?
-We're not bringing anything 'amazing' to the table. If you've been in a band roleplay before, you know that it tends to be similar with regard to the premise itself--it's the characters that give life to the thing and make it truly go. If you're the type who prefers a fun roleplay with plenty of emphasis on the characters themselves and their interactions rather than a preset plotline--and, of course, if you like rock music--this is the RP for you.

    3) What do you want from potential roleplayers?
-The simple answer is, keep it reasonable, use common sense. Ideally, though it's not a straight requirement, you should be available to post at least once a day on average, for the most part (barring, of course, special circumstances), and at maximum it's preferable that you don't go several days without posting, assuming everyone else is keeping a brisk but relaxed posting rate (again, barring special circumstances). Post length, preferably about 300 words, and there's no real maximum (just be aware of people's attention spans when you make a four thousand word intro post :v). As to level of writing--again, common sense. I don't expect I'll need to bust out a dictionary every other word, nor do I expect mammoth posts that dwarf War and Peace in its entirety. But I do expect literacy--and it should really only require common sense to gauge what level of literacy I mean.

    4) Who are you?
    -Just a small-town girl...livin' in a lonely wo--

Yeah, I couldn't resist that. We're both experienced roleplayers who have been on this site nearly a year, and act as co-GMs of this roleplay.

So! Intrigued! ...no? Well, here's the link to the roleplay anyway. Plenty of roles are open, and the field is wide open. We plan on making this a fun roleplay with interesting characters with their own stories to share (or perhaps not share) and their own unique personality to bring to the mix.

I am not, in fact, a woman. Apparently, I have to affirm this. :v

Travel games for kids : Best companion | ArticleBro.com

Travel games for kids are the most important stuff that parents should never forget while on a vacation. They can play them while travelling, or even when they reach their destination. One should not leave home without the travel game. It is family time and the games chosen should be such that everybody can play together. Choosing the right game is however very important. It depends on the age and also the place you are visiting.

Infants also need to play with toys the whole time, so remember, even if you have infants with you, it is necessary that you take appropriate toys with you. Toddlers are very naughty and can get anything if there is no proper toy to play with. So to avoid any kind of accidents or events it is better to be equipped with the right games for the toddlers as well. While they are learning at a fast pace, it is better to get something that is right for him to stay busy and enjoy with the toys brought for him. Younger kids can have better games and teenagers need more sophisticated ones.

You travel by car, bus or train or even by air. Therefore if the travel is too long, kids can get bored and might not like the vacation at all. Children get excited very early, but the excitement will fizzle out if they get bored before reaching the destination itself. So better equip yourself with the best of traveling games for kids that are suitable for their ages. If you are traveling you can ask the children to play the license plate game, bubble gum blowing contest, puzzles games, play cards, string figures, jokes, magnetic board games, counting things of roads, scavenger hunt, alphabet game, etc. If you are traveling by air, then the situation is different. You are stuck in it for a longer time. Therefore you need games like snakes and ladders, checkers, crazy eights, old maid, playing cards, etc.

There are plenty of games for kids and you can find one for each kid if you visit the store or order online as well. Even after reaching the destination, children might get bored during the leisure and you might be too lazy to get up and play with them. This is when you can ask them to play with toys that you get from home. If it is a beach, then the kids can have a great time playing in the water and splashing water on each other. They can play in the sand and make castles for hours together. Swimming is also loved by kids and needs proper clothing so that they can enjoy the cool water.

wendy madden is a well known author and has written articles on Toy Cameras, Airplanes Toys, Swimming Pools Toys and many other subjects.

Brother of Ravens WR Torrey Smith killed on cycle

BALTIMORE (AP) ? Wide receiver Torrey Smith rejoined the Ravens on Sunday night, less than 24 hours after his younger brother was killed in a motorcycle accident.

Tevin Chris Jones, 19, died late Saturday night in Westmoreland County in northeast Virginia. He was riding his motorcycle on Route 672 when he ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, according to Virginia State Police.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He was wearing a helmet, and alcohol was not a factor. The accident is under investigation.

Smith was notified at the team hotel in Baltimore shortly after 1 a.m. and immediately left to be with his family.

He returned to the Ravens late Sunday afternoon, participated in warm-up drills and was expected to be in uniform for a night game against the New England Patriots.

Early Sunday, Smith posted on his Twitter account: "I can't believe my little brother is gone...be thankful for your loved ones and tell them you love them...this is the hardest thing ever."

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement: "This is devastatingly sad, sad news. Torrey and his family are a close, special family, and our hearts and thoughts reach out to all of them. Our hearts ache today. We pray for Tevin, his mother, Torrey and the rest of the family."

Smith is the oldest of seven children of Monica Chante Jenkins. Smith grew up in Virginia before attending the University of Maryland.

He was Baltimore second-round pick in the 2011 draft. In his rookie season, he had 50 catches for 841 yards and seven touchdowns.

importance of fruits | Bodybuilding, Supplements, Diets, Workouts ...

Fruits are a delight to the human senses. Fruits are the most attractive, delicious, and nutritious of all foods available. Decorating a fruit tray may sound interesting but it can be a real hassle if you aren?t aware of the different fruit types. The importance of fruits in your diet can be attributed to the fact that they contain many vitamins, minerals and fiber, which are necessary for optimum digestion.

Fruits are the best source of natural sugar and are packed with anti-oxidants. They are high in fiber and low in calories. Fruits are also low in sodium so they help reduce the chance of gaining weight due to fluid retention. Protection from illnesses is yet another benefit we gain from consuming fruit.

Fruits also protect your body from cancer-causing free radicals and slow down the effects of aging.

Fruits are at their best when eaten in the raw and ripe state. A fruit platter is a lovely addition to any gathering. A large dish decorated with various fresh fruits arranged in a pattern can be extremely delicious and appetizing. All fruits should have their individual places in the platter so that it gains a uniform appearance.

Here are a few fruit platter ideas which may be of use to you:

For a perfect fruit platter you must add a variety of fruits with different colors and textures.
Be careful with fragile fruits such as berries which get crushed easily.

Place them on the top of the bowl as garnishing.

The key to create a good looking fruit platter is to cut and slice your fruits into similar sized and shaped pieces.
You must ensure that you choose your fruits well. Shop for bright colored fruits with different textures in order to add variety to the platter.

It is very important that all the fruits are washed well and dried.

A fruit platter looks even better when you make two sections of fruits. One section can have whole fruits such as grapes, cherries, and berries and the other section can have sliced fruits which include apples, bananas, and oranges.
You can also slice melons and pineapples so they are displayed in their rinds.

U.S. stops 20 Iran officials attending U.N. assembly

DUBAI (Reuters) - The United States has denied visas to about 20 Iranian government officials hoping to attend next week's United Nations General Assembly, including two ministers, Iran's Fars news agency reported on Saturday.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a regular at the assembly since he took office in 2005, will give his final speech there on Wednesday and will address a meeting on the "rule of law" on Monday.

But of the 160-or-so visas requested by the Iranian delegation two months ago, about 20 were turned down, Fars said.

It gave no reason, but many Iranian officials are subject to travel bans under sanctions related to Iran's nuclear program.

In Washington, the U.S. State Department had no immediate comment on the matter.

Fars did not name the two ministers who were denied visas and said Ahmadinejad would be accompanied by his chief of staff Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie and Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi.

Fars named two of those banned from going to New York as members of Ahmadinejad's staff: Mohammad Shaikhan, in charge of communications and information, and Mohammad Jafar Behdad, in charge of political affairs.

A U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity said: "Visas for foreign officials to attend UN meetings in the UN headquarters district are adjudicated in accordance with all applicable laws and procedures including both U.S. law and the UN Headquarters Agreement, however, visa records are confidential."

As U.N. host country, the United States has a policy of issuing visas for members of delegations, in line with a 1947 pact with the United Nations, regardless of disputes with individual countries.

However, it does sometimes refuse entry to government officials and professionals from Iran with which it has had no diplomatic ties since 1979 and which it accuses of seeking nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran denies.

In 2009, as Iranian authorities were crushing protests against Ahmadinejad's re-election, Iran said a delegation headed by its first vice president had been refused visas to attend a U.N. conference on the global financial crisis.

Ahmadinejad, whose second and final term in office ends next year, has used previous U.N. speeches to defend a nuclear program he insists is peaceful and to make verbal attacks on Israel, the United States and Europe.

He has questioned the historical truth of the Holocaust and cast doubt on whether Islamist hijackers were really responsible for the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Most Western envoys walk out of the U.N. chamber during his speeches, in protest.

(AP Photo/Mark Humphrey).

(AP) ? Female soldiers from Fort Campbell deploying to Afghanistan will field test the first Army body armor that is shorter and better tailored specifically to fit women's physiques.

Members of a female engagement team from the 101st Airborne Division, who will be directly interacting with Afghan women during the coming deployment, have been equipped with the female prototypes of the newest generation of Army tactical vests.

On Tuesday at the Army installation on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line, the female soldiers showed the new features of the vests during qualification trials with their M4A1 rifles.

The 101st Airborne Division first suggested the idea of a better fitting vest for women in 2009 after female soldiers said that they often had trouble bending over, getting in and out of tight spaces like military vehicles, or positioning their rifles against their shoulders, said Maj. Joel Dillon, the Army's assistant product manager for the vests.

Dillon said the long plates inside the vests would rub against their hips and cut into their thighs when they sat down.

After a lot of testing and measurements, the Army came up with a vest that is shorter to accommodate smaller torsos and has tailoring to fit closer to women's chests. The new vest eliminates gaps between the material and the body and can be fitted with smaller side ballistic inserts for small waist sizes.

"With a vest that is too long, if they lay their rifle on the ground or drop it, it's very hard to bend over to pick it up because that plate digs into their side. Now they can bend down and touch their toes and so they are more mobile and therefore you can get additional safety because you can perform better," he said.

The vest has a lighter feel because it won't rest on the female soldier's shoulders like the male versions do, Dillion said.

The need for better-fitting armor became clear as women in the Army have been fighting on the front lines of Iraq and Afghanistan for years, Dillon said. He noted that women now make up 14 percent of the Army and are closer to combat than they have been previously.

"These female engagement team soldiers will be going on patrol with infantry units, engaging with the female populace. Because of that, they are going to be on the front lines, so we want them to be the first to be fitted with this new armor," he said.

Based on comments from 19 female soldiers wearing the new body armor, the Army will continue to make adjustments before going into large-scale production for the rest of the Army.

Spc. Gilliann Campbell, 22, called the new body armor "a dream" compared to the old vests. A former gymnast, Campbell said she feels much more flexible in the new vests and demonstrated that with a couple of cartwheels.

"I remember as a joke, my friends tipped me upside down and my old armor fell right off me. It didn't fit me at all. But with this, I did a cartwheel when I first got it and it did not move at all," she said.

Small differences in the vests, like having enough space on her shoulder to set her rifle or being able to get the armor on quickly, can be critical when you only have seconds to react in combat, Campbell said.

"I feel safer in my own abilities because it lets me do what I need to do as a soldier," she said. "With my other armor, I felt a fear in my head that I was not able to perform to the best of my abilities. Now I can."

Spc. Sarah Sutphin, 32, said women in the Army had to make adjustments to work around the limitations of the male-designed body armor. She said the benefits of a better fit became clear during their marksmanship training Tuesday. Previously they would have to shift the vests while firing their rifles, or move gear around on the vest so they could lie closer to ground, she said.

She said she didn't even realize how ill-fitting the old vests were until they started trying out the new vests for the last couple of weeks.

Sutphin added, "We need to be protected and still do our jobs and be able to fire our weapons the same."

Higher levels of BPA in children and teens associated with obesity

    Tuesday, September 18, 2012

In a nationally representative sample of nearly 3,000 children and adolescents, those who had higher concentrations of urinary bisphenol A (BPA), a manufactured chemical found in consumer products, had significantly increased odds of being obese, according to a study in the September 19 issue of JAMA, and theme issue on obesity.

Leonardo Trasande, M.D., M.P.P., of the NYU School of Medicine, New York City, presented the findings of the study at a JAMA media briefing.

"In the U.S. population, exposure [to BPA] is nearly ubiquitous, with 92.6 percent of persons 6 years or older identified in the 2003-2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) as having detectable BPA levels in their urine. A comprehensive, cross-sectional study of dust, indoor and outdoor air, and solid and liquid food in preschool-aged children suggested that dietary sources constitute 99 percent of BPA exposure," according to background information in the article. "In experimental studies, BPA exposure has been shown to disrupt multiple metabolic mechanisms, suggesting that it may increase body mass in environmentally relevant doses and therefore contribute to obesity in humans." BPA exposure is plausibly linked to childhood obesity, but evidence is lacking.

Dr. Trasande and colleagues conducted a study to examine association between urinary BPA concentrations and body mass in children. The study consisted of a cross-sectional analysis of a nationally representative subsample of 2,838 participants, ages 6 through 19 years, randomly selected for measurement of urinary BPA concentration in the 2003-2008 National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys. Body mass index (BMI), converted to sex- and age-standardized z scores (indicates how many units [of the standard deviation] a child's BMI is above or below the average BMI value for their age group and sex) was used to classify participants as overweight (BMI 85th percentile or greater for age/sex) or obese (BMI 95th percentile or greater). The median (midpoint) urinary BPA concentration for participants in the study was 2.8 ng/mL. The prevalence of obesity was 17.8 percent (n = 590), and overweight 34.1 percent (n = 1,047). The BPA concentrations of the participants were divided into quartiles (four groups). Controlling for race/ethnicity, age, caregiver education, poverty to income ratio, sex, serum cotinine level, caloric intake, television watching, and urinary creatinine level, children in the lowest urinary BPA quartile had a lower estimated prevalence of obesity (10.3 percent) than those in quartiles 2 (20.1 percent), 3 (19.0 percent), and 4 (22.3 percent). Compared with the first quartile, participants in the third quartile had approximately twice the odds for obesity. Participants in the fourth quartile had a 2.6 higher odds of obesity.

Further analyses showed this association to be statistically significant in only 1 racial subpopulation, white children and adolescents. The researchers also found that obesity was not associated with exposure to other environmental phenols commonly used in other consumer products, such as sunscreens and soaps.

"To our knowledge, this is the first report of an association of an environmental chemical exposure with childhood obesity in a nationally representative sample," the authors write.

The researchers note that advocates and policy makers have long been concerned about BPA exposure. "We note the recent FDA ban of BPA in baby bottles and sippy cups, yet our findings raise questions about exposure to BPA in consumer products used by older children. Last year, the FDA declined to ban BPA in aluminum cans and other food packaging, announcing 'reasonable steps to reduce human exposure to BPA in the human food supply' and noting that it will continue to consider evidence on the safety of the chemical. Carefully conducted longitudinal studies that assess the associations identified here will yield evidence many years in the future."

    Motorola's RAZR i: benchmarking Intel's first 2GHz Medfield smartphone

Motorola's RAZR i Early benchmarks pitted against the RAZR M

Motorola were quick to tell us that we're testing on pre-release RAZR i here -- software updates may arrive before the device does, but these figures below should give you a good estimate at what the 2GHz Intel processor can do. We've pitched it against the US-bound Droid RAZR M, with a capable dual-core Snapdragon S4 clocked at 1.5GHz, and ZTE's Grand X IN, which houses Intel's 1.6MHz Medfield Z2460 and Android ICS.

Motorola Droid RAZR M Motorola RAZR i ZTE Grand X IN
    Quadrant 4,944 4,125 2,710
    Vellamo 2,442 1,906 1,550
    SunSpider 0.9.1 (ms) 1,951 1,062 1,355
    AnTuTu 6,364 6,175 N/A
    GLBenchmark Egypt Offscreen (fps) 56 41 N/A
    CF-Bench 9,392 2,973 873
    SunSpider: lower scores are better

So what do all these numbers mean? Well, Intel's 2GHz processor is pretty capable. Although the RAZR i only bests the RAZR M on SunSpider browser performance (something that Intel's been focusing on with its mobile hardware), it's a substantial score difference. Otherwise, the Europe-bound RAZR skates pretty close, if behind the RAZR M's benchmarks. There's a hiccup on the CF-Bench score, something that we also noted on the Grand X IN. While both the ZTE and Motorola devices are running Android 4.0, there's still a tangible difference in these early benchmarks -- perhaps testament to both Motorola and Google's proximity and the debut of Intel's faster 2GHz Medfield processor. We'll be testing out those power-saving promises from the chipmaker over the next few days.

Brain growth depends on shapely neurons

The human brain may be the most complex object in the universe, but its construction mostly depends on one thing: the shape of neurons.

Different kinds of neuron are selective about which other neurons they connect to and where they attach. Specific signalling chemicals are thought to be vital in guiding this process.

Henry Markram of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and colleagues built 3D computer models of the rat somatosensory cortex, each containing a random mix of cell types found in rat brains, but no signalling chemicals. Nevertheless, 74 per cent of the connections ended up in the correct place, merely by allowing the cells to develop into their normal shape.

The results suggest that much of the brain could be mapped without incorporating signalling chemicals. This is good news for neuroscientists struggling to map the brain's dizzying web of connections. "It would otherwise take decades to map each synapse in the brain," says Markram.

The work could also help untangle the causes of conditions like schizophrenia that are thought to be caused by flaws in brain wiring. If Markram's work proves correct, malformed neurons that don't connect up properly could be a factor.

Kate Middleton Nude Photo Scandal Sparks Legal Row - Celebuzz

ROYALS PURSUE PUBLICATIONS, PHOTOGRAPHER OVER NUDE SNAPS

After several magazines printed semi-nude sunbathing photos of Kate Middleton, the British Royal family is fighting back in court.

The royal legal team is taking aim at both the publications and the unidentified paparazzi. Last week, lawyers began proceedings against French magazine Closer ? the first outlet to run revealing shots of a topless Duchess of Cambridge on vacation with her husband, Prince William, in south of France ? after what St. James?s Palace called a ?grotesque? and ?totally unjustifiable? invasion of privacy. The suit seeks an injunction against the magazine, calling for all issues to be removed from stands and all images withdrawn from its website.

The royals? lawyers also want to prevent Mondadori ? the former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi?s publishing house that owns Closer and Italian magazine Chi, which both printed the images ? from further disseminating the images.

And the royals filed a criminal complaint Monday in a Nanterre, France, court against the as-of-yet unidentified photographer(s), whom the palace claims exploited the privacy of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Do the royals have a case? Weigh in with your remarks to HLN host Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Velez-Mitchell will be taking questions and comments on the subject until tomorrow, September 18, on Celebuzz.

Later this week, the Hollywood expert will share her thoughts on the Middleton nude photo case with the Celebuzz community.

The award-winning TV journalist hosts the hit show Jane Velez-Mitchell, airing at 7PM ET on HLN, where she tackles the day?s most controversial events from a wide range of viewpoints. Check out HLNtv.com for more details.

Do you think the royals should win their legal battle? Address your comments to Velez-Mitchell below.

Report: US likely created computer viruses for espionage, warfare

    4 hrs.

BOSTON (Reuters) - Researchers have found evidence suggesting that the United States may have developed three previously unknown computer viruses for use in espionage operations or cyber warfare.

The findings are likely to bolster a growing view that the U.S. government is using cyber technology more widely than previously believed to further its interests in the Middle East. The United States has already been linked to the Stuxnet Trojan that attacked Iran's nuclear program in 2010 and the sophisticated Flame cyber surveillance tool that was uncovered in May.?

Anti-virus software makers Symantec Corp of the United States and Kaspersky Lab of Russia disclosed on Monday that they have found evidence that Flame's operators may have also worked with three other viruses that have yet to be discovered.

The two security firms, which conducted their analyses separately, declined to comment on who was behind Flame. But current and former Western national security officials have told Reuters that the United States played a role in creating Flame. The Washington Post has reported that Israel was also involved.?

Current and former U.S. government sources also told Reuters that the United States was behind Stuxnet. Kaspersky and Symantec linked Stuxnet to Flame in June, saying that part of the Flame program is nearly identical to code found in a 2009 version of Stuxnet.

For now, the two firms know very little about the newly identified viruses, except that one of them is currently deployed in the Middle East. They are not sure what the malicious software was designed to do. "It could be anything," said Costin Raiu, director of Kaspersky Lab's Global Research and Analysis Team.?

    Newsforyou
Kaspersky and Symantec released their findings in reports describing analysis of "command and control" servers used to communicate with and control computers infected with Flame.

Researchers from both firms said the Flame operation was managed using a piece of software named "Newsforyou" that was built by a team of four software developers starting in 2006.

It was designed to look like a common program for managing content on websites, which was likely done in a bid to disguise its real purpose from hosting providers or investigators so that the operation would not be compromised, Kaspersky said in its report.?

Newsforyou handled four types of malicious software: Flame and programs code-named SP, SPE and IP, according to both firms. Neither firm has obtained samples of the other three pieces of malware.

Kaspersky Lab said it believes that SP, SPE and IP were espionage or sabotage tools separate from Flame. Symantec said it was not sure if they were simply variations of Flame or completely different pieces of software.?

"We know that it is definitely out there. We just can't figure out a way to actually get our hands on it. We are trying," Symantec researcher Vikram Thakur said in an interview.

About a dozen computers in Iran and Lebanon that are infected with one of the newly identified pieces of malware are trying to communicate with command and control servers, according to Kaspersky Lab.?

The researchers found a large cache of data on one of the command and control servers, but cannot analyze it because it is encrypted using a password that they said would be virtually impossible to crack.

They believe that it was encrypted so heavily because the people coordinating the attack did not want the workers using the Newsforyou program to be able to read potentially sensitive information.?

"This approach to uploading packages and downloading data fits the profile of military and/or intelligence operations," Symantec said in its report.

Having type 2 diabetes appears to give post-menopausal women a 27% higher risk of developing breast cancer, according to a new study published in
the British Journal of Cancer this week. While the link may be indirectly associated with being overweight, a known risk factor for both diseases, the
researchers don?t rule out that type 2 diabetes may affect breast cancer risk directly.

The study, from researchers at the International Prevention Research Institute (i-PRI), Lyon, France, is a comprehensive review of 40 separate studies into
possible links between type 2 diabetes and breast cancer. Altogether, the data covers more than 56,000 breast cancer cases from four continents.

Lead author and president of i-PRI, Peter Boyle, tells the press in a statement:

?Our study found a significantly increased risk of breast cancer in women who had diabetes, which was restricted to those of post-menopausal age.?

The study found no evidence to support such a link in women of pre-menopausal age, or those with type 1 diabetes.

High BMI Could Be a Reason

Boyle and colleagues suggest having a high BMI could be a factor. (BMI is Body Mass Index, a measure of obesity where the square of the person?s
height in metres is divided by their weight in kilograms).

Carrying too much weight, especially around the waist, is a known risk factor for type 2 diabetes.

Obesity is also a risk factor for breast cancer. Figures from Cancer Research UK, suggest
it raises the risk of postmenopausal breast cancer by up to 30%, and that excess body weight is tied to more than 4,000 cases of breast cancer each year in the
    UK.

There May Be a Direct Biological Link

Boyle says they don?t know what the underlying biological mechanism might be to explain the link between type 2 diabetes and breast cancer. It could be
indirect, or it could be direct.

Being overweight is often tied to type 2 diabetes, and the biological mechanism to breast cancer from that would come via the effect on hormone activity,
which in turn affects processes that lead to cancer growth.

?But it?s also impossible to rule out that some factors [directly] related to diabetes may be involved in the process,? he adds.

Healthy Weight, Exercise, Less Alcohol, Help Reduce Breast Cancer Risk

Martin Ledwick, Head Information Nurse at Cancer Research UK, says the study does not show whether diabetes directly raises breast cancer risk in post-menopausal women.

?But as we know that having a high BMI can contribute to an increased risk of both type II diabetes and breast cancer, it makes sense for women to try and
maintain a healthy weight,? he urges, and advises anyone with concerns to talk to their GP about their lifestyle, for example diet and physical activity, to try and
minimize the risk of both diseases.

According to the World Cancer Research Fund, every year in the UK, 89.1 of every 100,000 women develop breast cancer, making it the country with the 11th highest breast cancer
    rate in the world.

They also suggest about 42% of breast cancers in the UK could be prevented through drinking less alcohol, being physically active and maintaining a healthy
    weight.

Other factors that affect breast cancer risk include: age, reproductive history, endogenous hormones, exogenous hormones, breast density, history of some types
of benign breast disease, and family history.

With innovative features to broaden Tekken consumer accessibility, unlimited fighter combinations & multiple ways to challenge your friends ? get ready for the next battle! WE ARE TEKKEN.

    REVIEW:

If you really got into console gaming back when I did, everyone had the Tekken games, they were fast button pushing action, with impressive moves and of course great to play with your mates when you?d have a few bevvies. So when I heard about the new one coming out for the Xbox 360 I just couldn?t wait to get my hands on it, after all, all those memories that I?d get to enjoy again as I smacked seven shades of the brown stuff out of anyone with the tenacity to even think that they could challenge the Beat ?Em Up King on the console (in my defence I think that was ego coming back.)

What occurred within was pretty much what you?d expect with 50 playable characters some newly updated graphics and of course some other nice touches such as the clothing getting roughed up and mucky. There?s also the chance as you earn points though victory to upgrade characters with new moves, some interesting additions which all in keeps you playing.

Add to this the nice touch of a free online gaming mode where you can challenge other players with stat keepers to let you know how you?re doing (characters you play most, records of Wins, Loses and Draws) it can be fun, but for me the real draw of the game is more playing it at home with your friends where you can each challenge each other to massive multiplayer combats. That?s where the fun of Tekken is and to be honest if you?re going to be playing this more as a single player it may not be the game for you as there?s no real plot and you?ll quickly rediscover the illness that grappled the world years ago, Tekken hand (in short after all the mashing your wrist and fingers will ache and if overdone could remind you of a Repetitive Strain Injury.)

All in Lady Eleanor and I have had fun taking on each other for petty chore duties (such as who?s going to make the next coffee) and its been great to revisit the beat them up again with some new backgrounds. However if you?ve moved on to the more sophisticated style of game where there?s multiple solutions and don?t fancy random button pushing in the vain hope of pulling off something impressive and will be playing on your own there really isn?t much for you.
